Portugal raises Golden Visa minimum investment to €650,000
What this means for you
If you're planning a Golden Visa application in Portugal, the minimum investment has gone up by €150,000. Applications submitted before March 2026 are still processed under the old threshold.

Portugal has officially increased the minimum investment threshold for its Golden Visa program. The change affects all new applications submitted from 1 March 2026 onward. Existing visa holders are not affected by the new threshold.
The Portuguese immigration authority (AIMA) confirmed the update via official gazette on 15 June 2026.
