Individuals planning to relocate to Western Australia through state nomination must now ensure their professional experience meets new, specific criteria, including a minimum of one year of relevant, paid, post-qualification work within the last decade.
Australia has updated requirements for Western Australia (WA) State nomination. Applicants for WA State nomination must now demonstrate specific work experience criteria to be eligible.
New guidelines state that applicants need at least one year of Australian or overseas work experience in their nominated or a closely related occupation. This experience must have been gained within the last 10 years and cannot be combined. Furthermore, the work experience must be post-qualification, paid, and for a minimum of 20 hours per week, in addition to a positive skills assessment.
